Duane Meyers with Great Lakes Crash Analysis will be hosting the 2013 MATAI conference to be held at the
Kalahari Resort in
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. "The Dells" is proud of its distinction as "The Waterpark Capital of the World."
Wisconsin Dells has been in the tourism business for 150 years. There are three things that bring over three million visitors to the Dells each year –– heart-pounding fun,
waterparks and incredible natural resources. The Dells is located along a meandering stretch of the Wisconsin River, with scenery unlike anything else in the world.
With all the attractions, this year's conference provides an opportunity to bring the family and make your conference trip a relaxing get away.
Our conference host and his support staff are finalizing a schedule of events that promises to provide an outstanding training opportunity.
SPEAKERS
The curriculum for this year's conference is being sup-ported by Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety. Our presenters include Rusty Haight, Jeffrey Muttart, Lynn Fricke, Gary Cooper, Michael DiTallo, William Messerschmidt, Roger Barrette and Thomas Green.
Areas of instruction will be: Energy Analysis in CR; Momentum Analysis in CR; Monte Carlo Analysis; Motorcycle Crash Reconstruction; Pedestrian Crash Reconstruction; Human Factors; IDRR Software Case Studies; CDR Update; Heavy Truck EDR Analysis and Heavy Truck Crash Reconstruction.
Again, these are tentative subjects at this time, it is likely that all will be presented.

THURSDAY, June 13
8:00 ACTAR Examination
The deadline for registering for the ACTAR Examination is May 13,
2013. Earlier deadlines apply for those making their initial ACTAR
application. New applications must be submitted at least 60 days in
advance of the examination date, or April 13, to allow ample time to be
qualified to sit for the examination. Please consult the
ACTAR web site for more information.

disappointed.
ACTAR CEUs
An application for ACTAR CEUs will be submitted. It is anticipated that attendance at the 2013 Conference will be eligible for 18 or more CEUs.
LODGING
Room rates at the Kalahari Resort , (877) 525-2427, for Sunday through Thursday are $70.00/night single
occupancy and $129.00/night for 2-4 persons. That rate entitles an attendee (and guests) access to all of the
facilities. The room rate for Saturday, June 8 will be $129.00 due to the time of year. Please mention the
MATAI Room Block when making reservations. The room rates quoted are guaranteed until Friday, May 10, 2013.
CONFERENCE FEE
The conference fee will be $270 for MATAI Members and $310 for non-members who register by May 1. After May
1, the registration fees will increase $40 to $310 for members and $350 for non-members. Considering your registration fee includes lunch each day
and a banquet dinner, this is a remarkable value.
You must be an active MATAI member with dues paid for the 2013 calendar year at least 90 days before the conference start,
or March 10, to be eligible for the member rate. If in doubt, check the Membership List
or contact the Secretary/Treasurer.
